Initial Appointment

At your first appointment at 360 Dental in Tulsa, Oklahoma, our dentist will perform a dental examination to further understand your dental needs. Once an examination has been completed, our dentist will take several impressions of your teeth. The impressions will be converted to a 3D model that will replicate the structure of your teeth to create your Invisalign aligners. Our dentist can also show you what your teeth will look like after treatment with this 3D model.

Invisalign are virtually invisible. These aligners are made up of a thermoplastic material, making them transparent. They are very comfortable, as they are customized just for you. Additionally, they similarly resemble teeth whitening trays.

Over the course of treatment, your aligners will be replaced about twice a month. Constant replacement is necessary as your teeth will rapidly shift. Invisalign moves your teeth through the placement of the aligners controlled force. They also control the timing of the force application. Specific teeth will move each time an aligner is replaced. This plan is determined by our dentist prior to starting the treatment.

Treatment Duration

The duration of Invisalign is typically significantly shorter compared to the alternatives, but this varies with each patient. For the excellent results you want, Invisalign should be worn 20-24 hours per day.

Invisalign is composed of BPA-free plastic and does not have any dangerous toxins that can be released into your mouth.

Easy to Clean

Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign gives you the flexibility of removing the aligners when it comes to eating, brushing your teeth or flossing. This is a plus for maintaining good oral hygiene!

Benefits of Having Straight Teeth

Having straight teeth can significantly improve your oral health. This eliminates the cause of bacteria, gingivitis, bad breath, etc.

The Right Candidate

Our dentist can determine if the Invisalign treatment is suitable for you. A preliminary examination is important, since Invisalign is not recommended for everyone. Patients who have oral sensitivities may not feel comfortable with this option.

Dietary Precautions

The consumption of certain foods and drinks will need to be avoided. Our dentist will provide you with this information.

After using Invisalign, you will need to wear a retainer, just like traditional braces. The retainer will keep your teeth from shifting back to their original, uncorrected position. Retainers are an essential part of maintaining your results. For further information about our services, please feel free to call us for an appointment or come to our office today. Our dentist and team are here to answer any questions you might have.
